The 153,000 square-foot Gambro Signature Centre expansion project was initiated in the fall of 2006 in response to aggressive growth requirements anticipated by the company. The project will be constructed in multiple phases to accommodate the client's objectives for move-in schedule and flexibility for the ever changing user requirements in future phases. The building developer designed a Green Building and intends to acquire a LEED Gold Certification upon project completion. Therefore, the project team needed to incorporate sustainable design to support LEED Gold objectives.
